Job Opportunity: Project Officer for issue2 programme
- TITLE: Project Officer for ISSUE2 Programme
- IMMEDIATE REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Programme Manager, CAPS – ISSUE2 Programme
- JOB PURPOSE:
To support the implementation of the ISSUE 2 Programme / "Sanitasyon
para kadatayo amin" in the Province of La Union and provide operations
assistance to the Center for Advanced Philippine Studies (CAPS) and the
Provincial Technical Working Group in a range of areas such as problem
analysis, report writing and presentation, communication and liaison
with the ISSUE2 Consortium Partners and Implementing Municipal Local
Government Units.

Internal Clients
- Contributes to the preparation of the publications, newsletter, reports, etc.; monitors progress/status of reports.
External Clients
- Coordinates with the ISSUE2 Consortium Partners and Implementing Partners (Municipal Local Government Units of La Union)
- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree
in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Civil/Sanitary
Engineering or related fields. Master's Degree and/or units will have
an added advantage.
- RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a sound
understanding of procedures and practices related to project
administration.
- Good writing and speaking skills in English language are essential.
- Proven
ability to undertake background research and analysis on difficult but
well-defined tasks, collect and organize required data and information,
apply appropriate computer skills in analyzing and developing the data,
and prepare notes, papers and sections of reports.
- Good
analytical thinking with ability to make simple causal links (A causes
B), pro-and-con lists and analyses to reach a decision; sets priorities
for tasks in order of importance.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive contacts with appropriate government officials and personnel.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with individuals.
- Good computer skills with sound knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheets and graphics software and database management.
- Familiarity with local languages and institutions.
- SALARY RANGE: P200,000 – 260,000 per annum
